The Story. The first monumental issue of THE MULTIVERSITY is back in this new Director’s Cut Edition, presenting Ivan Reis’s pencil artwork! She'd have two years to do it. By then, the Pax Institute would have trained the next generation of Peacemaker agents. Then, Harley would win the 2015 election, Chris would do what he was trained to do, and then the two of them would run away together in hiding. With The Multiversity: Pax Americana 1, Morrison trumps all that and, with his frequent collaborator Frank Quitely on art, gives readers a trippy, deep, mind-numbing comic that features Morrison's spin on the more popular Charlton characters. The Multiversity is a limited series of interrelated one-shots set in the DC Multiverse in The New 52, a collection of universes seen in publications by DC Comics. The one-shots in the series were written by Grant Morrison, each with a different artist. The Multiversity began in August 2014 and ran until April 2015. The Multiversity: Pax Americana 1 - In Which We Burn by dagmar_merrill on November 28, 2014 Before I say anything about the contents of the actual issue, I want to talk about Jae Lee's variant cover. In this issue of the Multiversity Grant Morrison tackles the idea of a modern day watchmen with a backwards storytelling technique. Brace yourselves for the next exciting chapter of THE MULTIVERSITY as the acclaimed ALL-STAR SUPERMAN team of writer Grant Morrison and artist Frank Quitely investigate the conspiracy on Earth-4, home of Pax Americana! The Multiversity: Pax Americana 1 was built for comics criticism (and that’s just what it’ll do!). This is the kind of issue where you can really - and I mean REALLY - go page by page and completely drown yourself in praise; it is, on a technical and visual level, arguably the best single issue of the year and the standalone reason why anyone was excited about The Multiversity at all.
